Dell Technologies Authorized Partner
A Dell Technologies authorized partner in Indonesia since 2008
What separates buying through an authorized partner is not the price but what happens after delivery: the serial number is registered to your company, the warranty is handled by Dell Indonesia, and there is someone to call when something goes wrong.
The authorized channel
What buying through an authorized partner means
The difference only shows when something goes wrong, and by then it is too late to choose again.
Dell Indonesia warranty
The serial number is registered to your company in the Dell system. Claims are handled by Dell rather than the shop you bought from, so they hold even if the seller changes.
Traceable origin
Units arrive through the official distribution channel, so the warranty start date and factory configuration are clear and can be checked by you.
Support with an address
A registered company in Indonesia stands behind the transaction, not merely a seller account that can disappear.
Supported configurations
Orders are built from options Dell actually offers for Indonesia, so no added component quietly voids the support.
How to check
Confirming a Dell seller really is authorized
This applies to any seller, ourselves included. Five things you can check before paying.
- Ask for the serial number (service tag) before final payment, then check the warranty status and period yourself on the Dell support site
- Make sure what is written is official Dell Indonesia warranty, not a shop or distributor warranty carried by the seller
- Ask for a written quotation naming the full model number and configuration detail, not a general description such as i7 laptop 16GB
- Ask who handles it if a unit fails in the first month — the seller, the distributor, or Dell directly
- Check that the seller is a registered company with an address you can visit, not only a marketplace account
How we work
How a procurement runs
These five stages apply to every order, large or small.
Requirement mapping
We ask which applications are used, how many people, and the conditions where the equipment will sit. The configuration comes from that, not from a price list.
Written quotation
Full model numbers, configuration detail, warranty period and level, and a delivery estimate — all written down before anything is ordered.
Ordering and delivery
Ordered through the Dell partner channel. Schedule changes from the factory are passed on when we learn them, not when asked.
Deployment and acceptance
On-site installation, system setup, and testing until the equipment performs as agreed. Serial numbers are handed over as an asset list.
Support after handover
We are the first point of contact when something goes wrong and follow it through to Dell, so your team does not have to work the claim path themselves.
What to watch for
Risks of buying outside the authorized channel
The saving at the start is often smaller than the cost that appears later.
Warranty registered in another country
Units entering through unofficial channels often carry the warranty of their origin country. The claim has to travel there, at your cost and on your time.
Warranty already running
Some units are resold after the warranty was activated under another name, leaving you less remaining cover than you expected.
No escalation path
When a unit fails, the only party to call is the seller — and some marketplace sellers are gone a year later.
Components swapped after the factory
Memory or storage changed outside the factory removes Dell support for that part, and it usually surfaces only when a claim is refused.
Questions
Questions we get asked
How do I confirm the units I receive are genuine?
Check the serial numbers yourself on the Dell support site once the goods arrive. It shows the warranty start date, the warranty type, and the country of registration. Anything that does not match the quotation surfaces while there is still time to act. We hand over the serial list at acceptance, so this check needs nothing further from you.
Is an authorized partner more expensive?
For the same unit in the same configuration the gap is usually small. What looks cheaper on a marketplace is generally a different configuration, a different warranty, or a unit that came in through another route. A fair comparison starts from the same model number and warranty type, which is why we write both into the quotation.
What separates a Dell Indonesia warranty from a shop warranty?
A Dell warranty is carried by Dell and recorded in their system against the serial number of your unit. A shop warranty is carried by the seller, on terms they set, and disappears if the shop closes. Both can read the same in an advertisement, so the question to ask is who pays for the replacement part.
How long from quotation to delivery?
It depends on configuration and availability in Indonesia. Mainstream models in standard configurations move faster than custom builds assembled to order. We put the estimate in the quotation, and if the factory changes the schedule we pass it on when we learn it.
What happens if a unit fails under warranty?
Contact us first. We open the ticket with Dell, arrange the part replacement or engineer visit according to the service level chosen, and follow it to completion. You can always contact Dell directly if you prefer, but for a larger fleet a single point of contact is usually faster.
